Brian McGinnis
The Modern Dancer
At the age of seven, Brian McGinnis came to Jaws to observe his sister’s tap class. Born to dance, McGinnis was enrolled and learning tap, jazz and ballet within weeks. That year, with natural talent and a love for dance, he found his way to center stage by recital time.
McGinnis put many hours into perfecting his technique and performance skills. Overcoming tremendous criticism from his peers, he won numerous awards and titles, including: Master Dance of New England, Junior Mr. Dance of New England and Mr. Dance USA from USTD. By the age of 18, McGinnis had danced in full season productions at Busch Gardens and Disney World.
After studying at JAWS for 11 years, McGinnis earned his B.F.A. from the Juilliard School. He is currently a member of the David Parsons Dance Co.
McGinnis has also appeared with the Elise Monte Dance Company and the Hubbard Street Dance Theater in Chicago.
