Summer Program Descriptions

Creative Movers | Ages 2-5

Creative Movers summer sessions are a place where children have serious FUN! Each session provides a unique theme with creative lessons plans. Combining skill building, games and crafts your Mover will create, grow, express and learn all summer long!

*Dress Code- Leotard and tights if you have them, If not any comfortable athletic clothing with bare feet.

- June 4th, 11th, 18th | 4:00-5:00 | $65
Session #2 Under The Big Top

Session #3 Princess & Pirates
- August 13th, 14th, 15th | 12:30-1:30 | $65

Dance Camp | Ages 5 - 7 & Ages 8 - 12

Dance camp assists children to develop physical skills, eye-hand coordination, improve balance and agility, increase confidence, build self-esteem and get physically fit while having fun. No previous experience is needed to enroll in Dance Camp. Each session is topped off with an informal performance where parents and friends can watch the campers show off their new skills and have a chance to view their new skills.

*Dress Code- Leotard and tights if you have them for girls, if not a tank top or fitted t-shirt for boys and gym shorts will work too.

Week #1 Sparkle Era- Taylor Swift Dance Camp
- July 8 – 12 | 9:00am-12:00pm

Week #2 Come On Barbies!- Barbie Dance Camp
- August 12-16 | 9:00am-12:00pm

Musical Theatre Camp | Ages 6-9 & Ages 10-13

Under the Direction of Sarah Morin our faculty will help develop your child’s performance skills to take them to the next level. All students participate in Music, Dance and Theatre lessons while also learning the show. At the end of this two-week program the students and faculty will proudly present an ON STAGE production of Newsies Jr. Showtimes will be released closer to the event.

*Dress Code- tank top or t-shirt for boys, leggings or shorts and sneakers.

July 15th- 19th & July 22nd-26th

June Technique Class | Ages 6 – 10

This new and exciting technique series is geared towards dancers looking to increase their technique training during the summer months. Dancers will continue to develop their technical skills as well as their artistic performance skills through warm ups, progressions and combinations. Classes will focus on stretching, endurance, strengthening, balance, control and alignment.

*Dress Code- Leotard and tights, athletic tops, tank top, leggings and shorts are also appropriate. Any athletic wear for boys

June Technique Classes | Ages 11+

Summer Technique Series at JAWS is geared towards intermediate and advanced level dancers as a way to supplement their technique training during the summer months. Dancers will continue to develop their technical skills as well as their artistic performance skills through warm ups, progressions and combinations. Classes will focus on stretching, endurance, strengthening, balance, control and alignment. Class placement is at the discretion of the directors.
